Contact

I'd love to hear from you!

The fastest way of contacting me is via social media, Instagram in particular. Find the links to all my social media outlets in the sidebar.

Do you prefer to send an email? Please check the FAQ's-page first. Maybe you'll find an answer there.

PLEASE understand I do NOT have the time to answer questions about crochet in general (there are lots of great tutorials online), or to give additional information about my patterns or about yarns I've used (all the information I have is written down in the pattern), or to give general crochet advice via mail or to look up the American equivalent of a metric hook size... Because that would mean I'd be anwering emails fulltime. :-( I do have a job and a life and am not running this blog fulltime. Thanks for your understanding... :-)

If your mail is about something else, yay, DO get in touch! You can reach me via haafner  [at]   hotmail  [dot]  com.

Thank you!

  4. I know you don't use animal fibers - I get that. However I was wondering how, as a vegan - you would this. We have 2 pet miniture goats, primarily as environmentally friendly lawn mowers however they think they are dogs. Anyhow, They get a really thick winter coat and when it warms up they shed. We brush them to help the process so they are not itchy. One has quite silky hair about 15cm (6 inches) long and the other one has hair about half that length however he is like a puff ball. There seems soooo much hair - the birds pick up a very small percentage for their nests. As a vegan what is your stance on spinning that and using it. FYI I haven't learned spinning yet! Thank you :) I understand if you don't wish to answer this!

    1. Hi Veronica, Your goats-who-think-they-are-dogs sound so sweet. ;-) I love that the birds use the hair for their nests. Actually, I have a friend who once had an outdoor haircut and the birds picked up his hair too for their nests. ;-)
Thanks for your question. In matters like this everybody of course has their own ideas etc., but to me it seems perfectly fine, and even a win-win - when you would use the brushed-off hair. If your goat-dogs like cuddling: give them a hug on behalf of me. ;-)
      Best wishes, Haafner

  6. I will be on my first Viking River Cruise this April, visiting Amsterdam and Belgium. Is there any yarn store, yarn mill and fabric store that you could recommend that I visit? Love your work, it's beautiful and thank you so much for your blog and website, I'm enjoying it. Linda

    1. Hello Linda,
Thanks for your kind message. That sounds like a nice trip. If you are in Antwerp, Belgium I would recommend to go to www.julijasshop.be. Unfortunately I haven't been there myself yet but they stock the organic Vinnis Colours from South Africa, one of my favourite yarn brands. Also she sells lots of fabrics. I'm afraid I don't have lots of other suggestions as I mostly buy online or source yarn while travelling. In Amsterdam though you could visit Weldraad, in a nice, old part of town, they sell organic yarns and fabrics. About a 10 or 15 minutes walk from there is De Afstap, probably one of the oldest yarns stores in Amsterdam. They have a wide selection of yarns (mostly wool though, which I don't use, but other fibres too) and they stock lots of knitting & crochet books/hooks/needles.
Hope this helps. :-) Enjoy your trip!
